About Emma
My name is Emma, and I am a therapist who has been working in the Boston area for almost a decade, in various roles and locations. I started my career in community mental health work at North Suffolk Mental Health, working both as a direct care worker with adults with mental health disorders, and later as a clinical supervisor. While receiving my Masters in Social Work at Simmons, I interned at an adolescent rehab center and then at the Suffolk County House of Corrections in the mental health unit. Most recently, I worked for several years at a private Suboxone clinic providing individual therapy for adults with primarily opiate addiction disorders. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy techniques in my practice. I am currently in a program to get a certification in Sex Therapy, so I will be moving my practice in that direction.
I am a violinist, a marathoner, an avid reader, and I love to cook and bake.
